In December 2008, a Master Program and a Doctoral Program on “Non-Traditional Security Management” were set up under the College of Public Administration, the Centre for NTS-PD, and European Study Centre, Zhejiang University. The programme is the first of this kind in China.

The programme cultivates inter-disciplinary approaches in teaching and research. It aimed at straining special talents with particular theoretical basis and practical ability to tackle problems within Chinese contexts and in the international affairs. Those graduates may serve as government officers, business leaders, as well as academic scholars, so to enhance communication between China and international society.
