“Centre for Non-Traditional Security and Ethnic Development in the Frontier Regions”, Talimu University, was established on 19 May 2009. The Centre will be a strong research partner with both the Centre for Non-Traditional Security & Peaceful Development Studies (NTS-PD) of Zhejiang University; and the Centre for Studies of Ethnic Minorities in Northwest China of Lanzhou University. Professor YU Xiaofeng (Director of the NTS-PD) was appointed as the Chief of Centre’s Academic Committee; and Professor XU Lili (Deputy Director of the Centre for Studies of Ethnic Minorities in Northwest China) as Executive Deputy Chief. Other committee members are included scholars from wide range research areas, such as ethnology, anthropology, Tibetology, International Politics, and NTS studies.
