Pro.Xiaofeng Yu, director of NTS-PD, was invited by Gansu Institute of Political Science and Law to deliver a public speech titled ‘Harmonious-Beautiful China and Contemporary College Students’ Mission’. This speech was the first of a series of lectures named ‘China Dream-My Dream’, which was designed and co-organized by Youth League Committee, Science Research Department, and Students' Affairs Division. This lecture was presided by Gaojian Zheng, the head of Science Research Department.

Pro.Yu proposed ‘Harmonious-Beautiful China’, which is a perfect combination of ‘Harmonious Society’ and ‘Beautiful China’. ‘Harmonious-Beautiful China’, in Pro.Yu’s eyes, is the future and prospective scenario for a better China. By this mean, the realization of the future scenario needs high qualified intellectuals, which nevertheless are based on high qualified education. As for the contemporary college students, an independent thinking mind and a spirit of innovation is regarded as a must.
